Anwar Ibrahim Case Result 16th Mei 2011

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 - The High Court set a May 16, the decision whether Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be called upon to defend himself or acquitted of charges of sodomizing his former personal assistant, Mohd. Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

Judge Datuk Mohamad Zabidin Mohd. Diah set the date after hearing oral argument from the defense and the prosecution today.

Anwar, 64, tried on charges of sodomizing Mohd. Saiful Bukhari, 26, at Unit 11-5-1, Desa Damansara Condominium, No.99, Jalan Setiakasih, Bukit Damansara here between the hours of 3:01 pm to 4:30 pm, June 26, 2008.


Yesterday, the prosecution argued that the opposition leader named as an owner profile deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) 'Men Y' is found in the rectum Mohd. Saiful Bukhari.

During his cross-connects today's argument, the Solicitor-General II, Datuk Mohd. Yusof Zainal Abiden not call Dr. clarify it. Muhammad Osman Abdul Hamid as a witness as a doctor from the Hospital Pusrawi evidence is not admissible and the rest is not true.


Replying to lawyer Karpal Singh arguments on the issue, he said, because the evidence Mohd. Saiful Bukhari, the doctor did not conduct forensic tests on her otherwise advised to go to government hospitals.

'Do not break chain of evidence relating to material evidence which could affect the integrity of them,''he said.

On claims lawyer Sankara Nair, that no KY Jelly lubricating gel used in the incident, he said, according to medical evidence, the use of the gel as a lubricant is consistent with what is happening.

Thus, Mohd. Yusof stressed that the prosecution had successfully proved that semen was found and it belongs to Anwar, it is desirable that the opposition leader to explain how things can happen.

He also said there was no evidence of the complainant is impossible, unreasonable or questionable to the court does not feel safe to accept as the young man was a reliable witness.

''All the evidence adduced by the prosecution at this stage the court is competent to receive it safely, have been given appropriate attention and action than has proved the essence of the charge,''he said.

Thus, strict Mohd. Yusof, it not only managed to produce evidence to support a prima facie case, but had to submit the case without any doubt that the accused committed the act and not others.
