Isabella Loh wildlife Night Safari axes Halloween Horrors event

The Night Safari has retained an event for  Halloween - even if tickets were sold in 1000 - because of comments that  it n  has no relevance to conservation.

Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) has pulled the plug just two weeks before Halloween Horrors was to take place on weekends between September 30 and October 30.

Thursday, WRS, which manages the Night Safari, said the decision was taken  because of the negative feedback received from companies, friends of the zoo, the public and the media on  event in particular relevance to conservation.

Isabelle Loh, director and newly installed CEO of the group, added that  he endorsed the comments made by President Tony Tan Keng Yam, and that \WRS parks should be more than  family activities- bonding and healthy. \ On Sunday, Dr Tan has been at the Singapore Zoo to celebrate Mid-Autumn, when he says: \These family ties, I think, is very important to Singapore because we need to create informal opportunities where families, children can bond with their parents and grandparents. It is the best way to build a sense of  unity and comfort within the family.
